Lethal Fantasies: Chrysalis

T:>Works, Singapore 2024 Immersive Rave
Chrysalis at T:>Works: the black box theatre transformed into a world of mutation and myth

Chrysalis transformed T:>Works’ black box theatre into an immersive rave exploring femininity in its most grotesque, liminal, and uncontainable forms.

Developed during Bussy Temple’s year-long residency at T:>Works, the project brought together electronic music, Butoh, pole, poetry, lighting, and spatial installation to create a world of mutation and myth—asking: what is the liminality that makes femininity seductive and then grotesque? Where does transformation end and monstrosity begin?
